The 5-minute attention gym.
Prefront is a small web app for training attention — named after the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that handles focus and self-control. It's built as an antidote to doomscrolling: instead of losing five minutes to a feed, you spend them on a quick, gamified workout.
No signup, no download, no streak anxiety from a server you'll never see. Open the browser, play, watch your own numbers move.
What you train
Schulte Grid
Attention span
Scan and tap numbers in order against the clock.
Stroop Clash
Inhibition control
Name the ink color, not the word. Resist the impulse.
N-Back
Working memory
Spot positions that match what you saw 2 turns ago.
Sequence Memory
Memory span
Watch the tiles flash, then repeat the pattern.
What we believe
Five minutes is enough
Sessions are deliberately tiny so they actually happen — between meetings, on the train, before bed. Frequency beats intensity.
Built on classic tasks
Every exercise adapts a well-studied cognitive paradigm — Stroop, N-Back, Schulte grids, sequence span — not invented pseudo-science.
Private by default
No accounts, no servers, no tracking of your scores. Everything you do is stored only in your own browser's local storage.
An honest disclaimer
Prefront is a training and tracking tool, not a medical product. We don't claim to raise IQ, prevent cognitive decline, or treat any condition — and you should be skeptical of any app that does.
What we offer is simpler: classic attention tasks, a timer, and honest stats about your own performance over time.
